The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a multiple week celebration in the Washington, DC region. I would argue that our region may have the best display of cherry blossoms in the world, even surpassing Japan. The festival celebrates the gift of the cherry blossom trees, located at the Tidal Basin, from Japan. They symbolize the enduring friendship between the citizens of Japan and the United States.
The festival is not just a highly anticipated region-wide event. With thoughts of flowers and Japanese art and design, it can be your inspiration for decorating, upgrading or remodeling your home. The easiest way to execute your inspirations is with wallpaper or murals. Think about doing an accent wall or wallpapering your kitchen, master bath or powder room.
Spring will be upon us very soon … it’s time to decorate!
